The schooner about 360 nautical miles off the coast of Brasil. If you have access to Google Earth, then you can generate a KML file that you can read into Google Earth by going to the following link: http://www.1000Days.net/googleKML.php

Wait a few seconds as all the data is sent to the screen (some browsers display all the XML, others such as FireFox only display some text).  After the screen finishes loading, right-click on the screen and choose the menu option to View Source (or choose Source from the View menu in the menu bar).  That will usually open the XML in a text editor such as notepad (if you're in the Windows World).  Save that XML as 1000Days.kml to your local hard-drive.

Then, open Google Earth, and choose File Open, then navigate to your 1000Days.kml file and select it.  That will add the schooner's path as an overlay in Google Earth.  Under the Tools menu in Google earth, you can select the ruler tool, click on the latest position for Anne, then rule out to the coast to find the distance to the coast.
